How to create your presentation

PowerPoint/ PDF instructions

• Please, save your presentation in PowerPoint 2013 or higher version (*.pptx), so we can guarantee it successfully open in our notebooks used in sessions halls.
• Please prepare your slides in 16: 9 ratio (all screens are in the sessions halls are in this format ratio). We recommend to use this template.
• It is also possible to prepare and to save your presentation as a PDF file.
• If you use “iOS” (Apple), please come to Speaker Ready Room (Club C) at least an hour before your presentation starts. The technical support will check if it displays correctly in our notebooks.
• In case you insist on using your own notebook, please come to the Speaker Ready Room (Club C) to discuss this possibility with the technical support.

Pictures/ Videos

• JPG is the most common to be used for the presentations.
• GIF, TIF or BMP are also acceptable.
• Up to 250 dpi would be enough to display the pictures on the screens. The higher resolution only makes the file size larger and doesn’t really improve the quality of picture displaying. Please compress your files so that it takes up less space.
• If you are having any videos within your presentation, please come to the Speaker Ready Room a little sooner so the technical support can check if the video was inserted well in your presentation. You should also store your video file itself on USB.
• Recommended format is MP4.

Fonts

• Only those fonts which are part of the basic MS-Windows are available. If you are using any special fonts which are not a part of MS-Windows it can cause problems.
• Recommended fonts: Arial, Times New Roman, Tahoma, Calibri
• If you insist of using special fonts please have them saved/ stored on your USB stick.

Uploading your presentation on-site

How to deliver your presentation

• Please bring your files/ presentation on one of the types below.
  • USB drive
  • External drive HDD/ SSD
• Clearly organize and name your files and folders on the drive to easily find what you need. (PowerPoint, / video files etc.)
• Please make sure you always have a backup of your presentation on more drives or any online medium or cloud (Google drive, e-mail).

Where to upload

• „Speaker ready room“ is located in the hall (Club C)
• Please come to the Speaker ready room (Club C) at least 30 minutes before your session starts. Th technical support will check and upload your presentation into the system. It is not possible to upload your presentation in the room you are having your lecture.
• It is necessary to come to Speaker ready room also in case you would like to present your lecture from your own notebook as we are collecting the authors consent regarding the recording.

Opening hours of Speaker ready room (Club C):

General information

• During your lecture you can use the remote control for controlling your presentation.
• Your own notebook is possible to use but only after discussion and check. Please always come to Speaker ready room first to inform and discuss it with the technical support. If you use iOS (Apple) come to Speaker ready room as well at least an hour before the session starts.
• You will be asked for authors consent in the Speaker ready room (Club C) as the scientific committee would like to videorecord all the presentations for learning purposes and for the members of the association.
• All presentations will be deleted from our notebooks once the conference is finished.
• We kindly ask all the speakers to keep the allotted time for their presentation.
