Viktor Paluš

MVDr. Viktor Paluš, DECVN graduated from the Veterinary University in Košice in 2005. Then he worked at the Veterinary University in Brno, in the internal medicine department at the Clinic for Diseases of Dogs and Cats. In 2007, he started working in Stroud, England, where he worked as a general veterinarian. A year later he started a general rotation internship in Newmarket at Dick White Referrals where he continued as a resident in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. He completed his residency in 2012, and then the same year he successfully passed the ECVN specialty exams and became a European, and then a year later, RCVS recognized specialist in veterinary neurology.

He later went on to work as a consultant at Dick White Referrals while also lecturing at Nottingham Veterinary University where he was appointed Honorary Lecturer in Veterinary Neurology. In April 2014, he decided to return to Slovakia, where he founded the Neurovet veterinary neurological and neurosurgical center in Trenčín, where he still works today.

Due to the fact that he worked in many clinics where he did not exclusively deal with neurology, he likes to connect all areas of veterinary medicine with neurology. However, his favorite area of neurology is neurosurgery. He is the author of many professional articles and has lectured at national and international congresses. He also reviews neurological publications for many scientific journals and is an editor for Frontiers in Veterinary Science – Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery.
